Our guest today: Rebecca Grace Allen celebrating the kick off tour of The Hierarchy of Needs +giveaway!

The Hierarchy of Needs by Rebecca Grace Allen
Published by: Samhain Publishing
Publication date: July 7th 2015
Genres: Erotica, Romance

Synopsis:
Jamie Matthews is stuck in a rut. After hitting a wall with her dream career, she’s back in her hometown, living a life as monotonous as swimming laps in the neighborhood pool.
Being surrounded by her perfect brothers is a painful reminder of her failure to launch. The last bonfire of the summer is an ideal way to let off steam, especially when she runs into Dean Trescott, the playboy friend she had one hot-as-hell night with back in high school.
Since the day Dean met Jamie, he’s loved her beauty, talent, and smile that lit up the whole damn block. But dating isn’t an option. She has a bright future ahead of her, and he refuses to chain her to his—helping run the family business that’s barely staying afloat.
A “what-happens-in-Vegas” weekend was supposed to get their craving for each other out of their systems. But neither counted on the past repeating itself, drawing them together in even hotter and dirtier ways and dangling the possibility they might both be able to get exactly what they need…
Warning: A friends-to-lovers twice over story that contains some hot ’n’ heavy kissing in the waves, hair pulling, and a man who knows how to use his hands. It may also feature a few practical jokes—only the fun kind, of course.

AUTHOR BIO:
Rebecca Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a double concentration in Creative Writing and Literary Comparison, which seemed like a good idea at the time. After stumbling through careers in entertainment, publishing, law and teaching, she’s returned to her first love: writing. A self-admitted caffeine addict and gym rat, she currently lives in upstate New York with her husband, two parakeets, and a cat with a very unusual foot fetish.

"A day in the life of Rebecca Grace"

A day in my life! *Hovers fingers over the keyboard in fear of boring you all to death*

Most of my days generally begin with my cat sitting on my chest. It’s a lovely wake up call. After blearily checking the time, I’ll trudge out to the kitchen and feed her, then pour myself a cup of coffee. Coffee is essential. It’s the only thing that stops me from feeling like the Tasmanian Devil and helps me achieve human status for the day.

After coffee, every day of the week is different for me, depending on my schedule. I work part time at a local fitness and community center, which is a pretty sweet gig since health and weight loss is my other passion. (I’ve lost eighty pounds and have maintained my goal weight for several years.) Days that I am working are nice, because it pulls me out of the writing cave and into the three-dimensional world, where I actually interact with people who are not my husband and not my cat. After my shifts, however, I usually return to my purple-painted office, and follow the rule of BICHOK: butt in chair, hands on keyboard.

I might have a bit of carpal tunnel syndrome from this. I do, however, have a seriously awesome desk chair, which is almost as essential to my life as coffee is.

This is when I consult the Writing To Do list. (I have several to do lists. I am a list-maker. It helps keep the crazy at bay.) Currently, that list is filled with what I need to write for the Hierarchy of Needs blog tour (oh look! I’m doing that now!), and deadlines for revisions on the two different stories I’m working on. Once all that is done, there will be only one thing on that list: finish the next book in the Portland Rebels series, is due 12/1. (Eeeek!) My daily word goal minimum when I’m in writing mode is 1k per day, although I hope to get more than that when I can!

When I’m done writing for the day, I always hit the gym. It’s my one hour that’s totally for me. Oddly enough, I’ve had tons of ideas come to me when I’m on a spin bike or stairclimber. There’s something about shutting off my brain and being wholly in my body that helps the ideas flow. Also, there’s a helluva a lot of eye candy at gyms. Just sayin!

Hubs and I usually cook together in the evenings, and when we’re not too busy, after that we’re chilling on the couch and catching up on some of the shows we both enjoy. (Any Suits or Supernatural fans out there? Holla!) Then it’s bed time before I get up and do the same thing all over again! Unless I’ve forgotten to brew a fresh pot of coffee, that is...
